September Community Healing Circle

This is a monthly event where local healers of various types (bodyworkers, energy workers, sound healers, etc.) make themselves available for 25 minute sessions.

Receivers make a sliding scale donation of $20 to $35 for each session, and donations go to a worthy cause — nonprofits helping with immigration issues, I believe.

Yes, you can sign up for multiple sessions. If you come early, you have the most choice.

Note that the September event is on Friday, September 14, not the first weekend as it’s been in the past, and it starts later, 7-10 pm.

Same place, Soma Vida, 2324 East Cesar Chavez. Parking is in back. It’s posted as an event on Facebook.

May Community Healing Circle

Are you in need of healing? Are you adventurous and willing to try new techniques? Check out the monthly Community Healing Circle at Soma Vida!

These are usually held on the first Saturday of the month, which in May is Cinco de Mayo. So… the May Community Healing Circle will be held on Saturday, May 12, 6-9 pm.

As I’ve done in March and April, I will be offering 25-minute craniosacral therapy/biodynamics sessions. (You can schedule back-to-back for a 55-minute session.) These have been in demand, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to  meet new people and be of service.

Others will be offering energy medicine, card readings, sound healing, and more. Sessions are $20-35 per 25 minutes, and the proceeds support local charities.

Soma Vida is located at 2324 E. Cesar Chavez. Look for the green building, and drive around the back to park and enter.

Community Healing Circle tonight

Just a quick note: Tonight (March 2, 2018), I am participating for the first time as a healer in Austin’s Community Healing Circle. I will be offering 25-minute Biodynamics sessions.

This event occurs monthly at Soma Vida in east Austin on the first Friday from 7-10 pm. Healers sign up to offer their services. Receivers make a suggested minimum donation of $20 per session and choose from the healers available. It’s on Meet-up if you wish to join and receive notices.

You could sign up for back-to-back sessions if you wish. That rate would be half the normal cost for 50-60 minutes.

What can you expect from a biodynamic session? At a minimum, your cells, fluids, and bioelectromagnetic field will operate more coherently. This could manifest in a number of ways: more balanced hormones, nervous system reset, more immunity, more energy, more inner peace, more authenticity. Divine Intelligence works with your original blueprint for optimal health, and I’m there to support the process with loving yet neutral awareness, gentle touch, and an open heart.

I’m not sure who all will be there offering healing services! I’ve participated as a recipient once before, and there are multiple modalities available, including some you probably never heard of before. Great for the adventurous!

I invite you to join this Meet-up and come tonight if you can.

Silent auctions coming right up!

One of the ways I like to support the health-oriented community in Austin is by donating my services at silent auctions.

  • I get to market my practice to health-conscious folks, who may be learning about me for the first time. Austin has many newcomers.
  • The winning bid is sometimes below market price so the winner saves money and gets to try something new.
  • What I offer may be just the thing they’ve been hoping for, which is very satisfying for me and for them.
  • Their word-of-mouth satisfaction (I hope) spreads into their network.
  • I get a tax write-off for my donation.
  • When I attend the event, I meet like-minded people.
  • These events are fun!
  • Sometimes I even receive a t-shirt and/or guest tickets in exchange for donating.

I have donated three hours of bodywork (any modality or combination) to the Green Corn Project‘s annual fundraiser coming up on Sunday, October 29. This nonprofit is devoted to more organic gardens in Central Texas. This is my first year to donate, yet I’ve been wanting to attend for years, and finally, it’s happening!

I’m donating three hours of bodywork (again, any modality or combination) to the Save Our Springs Alliance (SOS) annual holiday party’s silent auction on Friday, December 8. I’ve donated for several years. This nonprofit supports a healthy environment in the Austin and Central Texas area.

I just donated a 90-minute session Oct. 22 at the Austin Fermentation Festival. The winner has been announced! Can’t wait to meet them!
